Good afternoon, readers! I hope you are all enjoying your 3-day weekend. I just wanted to mention that tomorrow I will be heading off to Alt Design Summit and couldn't be more excited! I will be speaking/moderating a panel on Big Creative Companies & Social Media with some fabulous folks from Martha Stewart and Dwell Studio. interior inspiration : silhouettes.

Inspired by the bathroom I posted yesterday, I spent a portion of the evening seeking out more homes using silhouettes as wall art. It's no secret that I am rather obsessed with them (enough to have one tattooed on my arm), and now I think it's time to spread the love to a special wall of my home.

I cannot remember how I came across the blog of Buenos Aires-based artist Maria Elina, but I am quite glad that I did. Her work is so sweet and inspiring- I love how she combines pencil lines, paper cuts, and paint. (To purchase one of her pieces, visit her shop.)

a kitchen gallery.

One of my favorite things when redecorating my home (which I am in the process of right now) is figuring out the art to go on the walls of each room. Today I am working on the kitchen, a place where I want to be spending more time in, but I am realizing that none of the illustrations and photography prints I own seem to work right in there. And so, I am dreaming of a wall of perfect food-related kitchen art that I could look at every day while baking, cooking, and drinking my coffee. I think a collection is in the making...
